Alona

Alona Pammer is co-founder and CTO of Plim, a human-in-the-loop humanoid robot for in-home companionship. She leads the engineering that drives the system toward autonomy, steadily cutting the time a carer spends teleoperating each robot — the number that decides whether the model scales beyond a pilot. Pammer has spent eight years in full-stack robotics since joining the Roboy open-source humanoid research project, working on tendon-driven, human-like robots and human-robot interaction alongside Devanthro co-founder Rafael Hostettler. She joined Devanthro at its commercial pivot and has built its engineering organisation from the ground up, work recognised when she was named to Forbes 30 Under 30. She studied robotics, cognition and intelligence at the Technical University of Munich.
