Drew Barrett is COO and co-founder of Zendo Energy, which is building an AI-driven Energy OS that helps data centres forecast demand, procure power and manage the volatility AI workloads have introduced. He spent thirteen years at Octopus Energy, rising to head of renewable energy procurement, where he ran a power purchase agreement business with a turnover of £500m. He knows how energy suppliers price, hedge and manage risk from the supplier's side of the table — and data centres, whose economics increasingly resemble those of an energy supplier, now need exactly that discipline. He brings the relationships across UK energy suppliers to go with it.
