Harald Rieber is co-founder and CTO of Atlas, a collaborative, browser-based spatial data platform that brings geographic analysis out of specialist software and into everyday use. He has built Atlas's engineering from the ground up since co-founding it, leading the tile-rendering and real-time collaboration infrastructure that lets heavy spatial operations and multiplayer analysis run in a browser, without the specialist hardware and desktop licences legacy GIS software demands. Atlas spent its first eighteen months on that data and rendering layer alone; it is the foundation the platform's AI assistant and its vertical workflows now sit on.
