Kit Aspen is co-founder and CEO of Thrust Carbon, the data intelligence layer for sustainable business travel, measuring the emissions of corporate travel programmes and nudging travellers toward lower-carbon choices at the point of booking. He and his co-founder met at an IATA hackathon, having each already run low-emission travel programmes of their own and grown frustrated at how weak the existing carbon methodologies were; they had a working prototype inside 48 hours. The pair had won three IATA hackathons together and built an earlier travel business before this one. Kit came up through engineering, as senior engineer and then CTO at Blink, having started his career as an early operations hire at GoCardless.
