Shield
Founder & CEO, Ainia
Shield leads Ainia as founder.
Shield Dun is founder and CEO of Ainia, an ed-tech company using AI-powered interactive storytelling to build children's emotional intelligence. It is his second education company, built on the same instinct for large-scale, product-led learning that carried his first to national scale. Dun co-founded 17zuoye and built it into China's largest K-12 online learning platform, reaching more than 80 million users across over 140,000 schools on the back of a Series E led by Temasek, and later listing on Nasdaq. Before that he traded derivatives and structured products at UBS, helped organise the Beijing and London Olympic and Paralympic Games, and founded his first education venture in London, building learning apps with Cambridge University, Disney and Time Warner. He studied engineering at Trinity College, Cambridge, with an exchange at MIT.
